Moving in Al Ain
Al Ain is inland, around 130 km from Dubai, and the usual truck route is simply the Dubai–Al Ain Road (E66) all the way, about an hour and a half when traffic is light. Some jobs starting near Sheikh Zayed Road begin on the E11 and then join the E66. Unlike the northern emirates, there is no other city to cross on the way, so timing depends less on rush hour at the far end and more on getting out of Dubai cleanly in the morning. A same-day move is planned like a long working day: wrapping and packing the day before, loading early, a straight run down the E66, and unloading in daylight.
Al Ain is a garden city of low-rise neighbourhoods and plenty of villas, and the area you are going to decides how we load. Al Jimi, and Al Sarooj a few minutes from the central district, have a mix of apartments and villas. Al Muwaiji, Al Khabisi, Zakher and Al Foah are better known for villas, many of them large family homes with majlis furniture, outdoor seating and garden equipment that need extra wrapping and space in the truck. Apartment buildings here are mostly lower than in Dubai, so the main questions are usually staircase width and whether there is a lift at all, rather than long service-lift queues.
Al Ain belongs to the emirate of Abu Dhabi, so its rules follow the capital's rather than Dubai's. Tenancy contracts are registered in Tawtheeq, which Al Ain Municipality runs locally, with registration, renewal and cancellation available through the TAMM platform. Electricity and water come from TAQA Distribution, which took over from the former Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC). A Tawtheeq-registered contract often lets TAQA open your account automatically; otherwise you apply and TAQA arranges an inspection and connection date. Book that before the truck leaves Dubai.
What we plan for on the day
Al Ain is part of Abu Dhabi emirate, so Tawtheeq tenancy registration applies. It is a long drive from Dubai, so we plan an early start and one crew for the whole move.
Tell us your building or community, the floor and whether there is a service lift, and we will plan crew size, truck and timing before moving day.

Moving in Al Ain: questions
Anything else? Ask us on WhatsApp and get an answer in minutes.
How long does a Dubai to Al Ain move take?
The drive is around an hour and a half on the E66. With packing done the day before, most homes are loaded, driven and unloaded in one day. Large villas sometimes take longer, so we survey first and set out the timing in a fixed quote.
Is Ejari valid if I move to Al Ain?
No. Al Ain is in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, so your new tenancy must be registered in Tawtheeq, handled by Al Ain Municipality and available through TAMM. Utilities come from TAQA Distribution rather than DEWA, so arrange the connection before moving day.
How much do movers cost in Al Ain?
It depends on the size of your home, floor and lift access, distance and packing. Send us your move details and we reply with one fixed price for your Al Ain move, with no hidden fees.
Is packing material included?
Yes. Boxes, bubble wrap, stretch film, wardrobe cartons and tape are included in the fixed quote.
