Business Bay lies between Downtown Dubai and Al Khail Road, with the Dubai Creek extension and canal running through it. The master plan is mostly mixed-use, with a smaller share set aside for purely residential and purely commercial plots, so you find apartment towers, hotel residences and office blocks side by side. A building with offices on the lower floors may not allow residential moves during office hours.
On the road, Business Bay is reached from Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Khail Road and the internal roads such as Marasi Drive along the canal. Bridges over the canal limit how quickly a truck can cross from one side to the other, and morning and evening peaks are heavy because of the office population. The Business Bay metro station on the Red Line is close to Sheikh Zayed Road.
