Moving in The Springs and The Meadows
The Springs and The Meadows are neighbouring Emaar communities within Emirates Living, just inland from Sheikh Zayed Road behind JLT and Dubai Marina, with Al Khail Road on the other side. They look similar from the road, with lakes, mature trees and gated entrances, but the housing is quite different. The Springs is split into fifteen numbered sections, Springs 1 to Springs 15, and is made up mostly of two- to four-bedroom townhouses and smaller villas. The Meadows has nine sections and is made up only of detached villas, generally on bigger plots and with more space inside.
That difference shapes the move. A Springs townhouse usually fits in one closed truck with a standard crew, though in rows of townhouses the truck may have to stand a little way from the front door. A Meadows villa tends to need more crew, more packing material and, for larger homes, a second vehicle. Both communities have security at the entrances and patrols inside, so the move needs to be registered before moving day. Weekend traffic around Springs Souk and Meadows Village, and school runs on weekday mornings, are the main things we plan around.
Emaar residents normally apply for move permits through the Emaar One app or the Sakani portal, with Ejari, Emirates ID, passport and visa copies, and must clear any outstanding bills before a move-out permit is issued.
