Moving in Motor City
Motor City grew up around the Dubai Autodrome, which was completed in 2004, and is a freehold master community developed by Union Properties. For a moving crew it splits into two residential halves. UpTown Motor City, in the eastern corner, is a gated area of low-rise, low-density apartment buildings grouped in clusters with shared pools, parks and gyms. Green Community Motor City, along the southern side, mixes villas, townhouses, bungalows and terraced apartments, some of them facing a lake. Business Park Motor City, near the Autodrome, is commercial.
Access is from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, with Umm Suqeim Road close by and Hessa Street leading to Sheikh Zayed Road in roughly ten minutes outside rush hour. The community borders Dubai Sports City and Studio City. There is no direct metro link, so residents mostly drive, and the F37 bus covers the Autodrome side.
Apartments here are large by Dubai standards, running up to four bedrooms, and a big UpTown flat can fill a truck much as a small villa would, so we judge volume by inventory rather than by property type. Each unit has designated parking, and the low-rise blocks keep the carry from truck to door short. Entry to UpTown is through gates, so truck and crew details go to security once the move has been approved. Move approvals and rules on lifts and loading are set by community or building management and can vary between clusters; your landlord or owners' association will know which applies. Common jobs include UpTown residents moving into Green Community townhouses, families arriving from Dubai Sports City next door, and residents leaving for newer communities along Al Qudra Road.
