Deira is home ground for us: the RM Movers office is in Naif, behind Naif Park, so these are streets our crews drive every day. It is the older side of the creek, dense, apartment-led and commercial, with around 400,000 residents. Naif is one of the city's oldest inhabited districts and among its most densely populated, with low- and mid-rise apartment, hotel and commercial buildings packed around Naif Souk and Baniyas Square. Older buildings often have larger floor plans than newer towers, but many also have little private parking, so residents rely on RTA paid parking, and street spaces in Naif are hard to find.
