Mirdif lies behind Dubai International Airport, where Tripoli Street crosses Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, with Mushrif Park along its eastern edge. It started out as an area of villas for local families and has since become popular with expatriate families, many working in the older parts of the city; Deira and Bur Dubai are a short drive away, and our own trucks come over from Naif.

Uptown Mirdif, developed by Union Properties, is a gated community of villas, townhouses and apartments with its own shops. Shorooq, on Algeria Street, has 668 mainly three- and four-bedroom villas and a clubhouse next to Mushrif Park. Ghoroob offers low-rise apartments near Mirdif City Centre, and Mirdif Hills, a freehold development by Dubai Investments, adds newer apartments. Greater Mirdif also takes in the villa areas of Al Warqaa, Al Mizhar and Al Khawaneej.
A few practical points for moving day. Villas usually have parking for two cars, which gives the truck room near the gate, but gated communities such as Uptown Mirdif and Shorooq will want truck and crew details for security and may have their own approval process. For standalone villas, arrangements are usually made directly with the landlord. Traffic on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road builds near Mirdif City Centre from mid-afternoon as commuters head towards Sharjah, so we prefer morning starts for longer jobs.
